Our skin cancer clinic provides assessment of moles, lesions and other skin concerns that require a doctor's review. Depending on what the clinician finds, the next step may involve dermoscopy, monitoring, biopsy, excision, minor surgery or referral. The appointment centres on examining the area, comparing it with the surrounding skin and deciding whether monitoring, sampling or referral is the sensible next step. Bring relevant previous reports or pathology information if you have them. You are welcome to ask about your doctor's experience with skin assessment and the equipment used when you book. If tissue sampling or another procedure is recommended, your doctor explains consent, how results are communicated and what follow-up is required. Those arrangements are explained before the procedure is booked or performed.

Our cosmetic consultations at Bundaberg are consultation-led, focused on assessing your concern and explaining your options. The consultation can cover the concern being assessed, relevant medical history, potential options, known risks and whether another clinic provides the procedure being considered. Where treatment is not available onsite, the practitioner can explain the appropriate clinic pathway rather than implying local availability. Where a procedure is recommended, the team can discuss which of our clinics provides it. Any referral names the clinic where the treatment takes place, so you know where to go from the start.
